Obama stands tall on foreign policy

WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama brandished the deaths of Osama bin Laden and Moammar Gadhafi as an election year show of foreign policy force aimed at disarming his Republican foes. Trumpeting his commander-in-chief credentials in an annual State of the Union address on Tuesday, Obama made it clear that the traditional avenue of attack – Democratic presidents are weak on defense – would not hold in 2012. “There are no Americans fighting in Iraq.
